What did the Vikings, Angles and Saxons make of Stonehenge and other UK monuments when they came across them?

The answer is that we don't know. Stonehenge is not mentioned in any literary sources until in the 12th century. There is a full and detailed account of what people from that date forward thought of Stonehenge in 'Solving Stonehenge' by Anthony Johnson.
