Sounds like a nice tank! I would love to know why you are replacing the ceramic rings every 6 weeks. Fair enough replacing the carbon bags, but the ceramic rings as well? They are designed to provide surface area for the the bacteria to grow on to break down fish waste. Cloudiness in the water can usually be ociated with a build up of organic nutrients, i would go as far as to say that this time changing the ceramic noodles just tipped the balance of bacteria in your tank enough for the worst to happen. Test the water and make sure you have no ammonia and nitrite. If you dont have test kits, BUY SOME. There is no way physically possible to keep a SW tank without Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, pH and salinity tests when you are just begining. Be careful if you do have a pH or ammonia problem your yellow tang may get whitespot as a result. Would suggest another 15% change today and every day until cloudiness disappears - when it does you know you have restored the bacterial balance. Only feed very little for the next week or so aswell!

all right so only you can say if your an alcoholic. alcoholic is another word for a addict. doesnt matter if you have a high tolerance. but if you need it, then you are addicted. if you need it you think and without it you cant survive then you are addicted. test this with stoping for a month if you are fine then ok your fine. o im 18 also... i drink kinda alot, alot in that when i drink i drink alot and not that i drink all the time. i have some crazy tolerance. last time i drank me and my friend split a bottle of bacardi select, about having 13 or so shots each, and i wasnt thatttt bad and didnt have a hangover in the morning. for me i dont feel anything at all until 3-4 beers or shots... to have a good buss is at 8-9... to be drunk is at like 13 or so and to be ****** is like at 20 or more and i have drinking that much quite a few times. yes its terrible for me drinking that much but if i dont feel it. but i am not a alcoholic and thats for sure.... if for some reason i had to give it up i could do it anyday. and i always had a high tolerance.... i remeber that it took year for me to feel anything because friends of mind would get drunk off of like 4 shots and i still wouldnt feel anything... weird huh

I made homemade oyster dressing, the last few times i made it it tastes bitter, could it be too much sage?

Please Help!!! Russian Tortoise?

We have a female Russian Tortoise and she was in our back yard, it is all gr, no trees and no way for her to escape. She was unattended for a short 10 minutes and we are not able to find her. Is it possible, in a large community of townhouses, kids playing etc...for a bird of some sort to get her? She was about the size of a salad plate, probably about 7 years old. I am so upset. She always goes in the yard and loves it. I am not sure if the bird thing is possible, I see no burrow spots around the fence, I am panicing. We love her so much! I have a 5-year-old daughter, a 3-year-old son and a 2-month-old son. My daughter is a very smart and responsible little 5 year old. All she wants to do is help and pretty much never gets into trouble. The one problem is her jealousy over my 2-month-old. Her and my 3-year-old are best buddies. They are always playing and laughing and are inseparable. She is always very fair and understanding with him, and also very protective. Bulldog throwing up - seems like after playtime, any suggestions?

After he plays is he just puking up water or is it food too? My puppy will play like crazy and then drink a bunch of water and then run and play more and will puke up water. We took her to the vet and they said its normal. She also puked up her food when she ate to fast and we got her a slow down bowl and it has stopped. It is still a good idea to get him into the vet just to be sure that he did not eat something. I hope that its just him eating and drinking to fast and not letting it settle in his tummy!

TYMPANOGRAM - IS MY ENT DOCTOR'S SUGGESTION HASTY?

I have a long standing right ear hearing problem and visiting an ENT specialist for the same. Due to my request he referred to a famous hospital specialized in ENT alone in my city. They took CT scan of the temporal bone, audiometey (of course which showed the existing hearing loss) and typanometry. The CT of the temporal bone revealed chronic mastoidits with soft tissue densitites in the right middle ear. The ENT hospital doctor asked to forget about the CT scan because its a pre-existing marker and nothing to fuss about. But they advised to take a nasal spray for my nose to reduce the allergy. My old tympanograms revealed conistent Type A in my normal left ear and type B in the problem right ear which may indicate fluid or some other. Meanwhile the ENT hospital doctor advised me to take the nasal spray for a month and repeat the typanogram, which revealed type B in the problem right ear and pressure not attained in the normal left ear. Today when I visited the hospital after a month they repeated the typanogram and it revealed Type C in the problem right ear and a B in the hitherto normal left ear. I wondered and raised my doubts which the ENT hospital doctor refused to listed and advised surgery (myringtomy) in the left ear to remove the fluid. I WENT FOR THE PROBLEM IN THE RIGHT EAR AND NOW THEY ARE FOCUSSING ON THE LEFT EAR as it showed Type B just today without wait and see approach. Immediately I rang to my orignal ENT doctor who referred to this hospital. I repeated the typanogram immediately in another famous Audiology test center and it revealed (THE TIME GAP FOR THE TWO TEST IS HALF AN HOUR) Type A in the normal left ear and Type As in the problem right ear( which is an improvement from B to As). What would have happened if I go by the word of the ENT hospital specialist and do my operation in the normal left ear to remove the fluid? How the value revealed that the left ear is (always) normal in another lab? Won't the specialist correlate by physical examination with an otoscope? Why this hastiness? What shall I do now? Can I go back to the hospital and reveal the report to the specialist there? I think they will simply ask me to get out of the hospital and see some where else. Was it commercialised at the cost of patient's welfare. THE REAL PURPOSE OF VISITING A LEADING HOSPITAL FOR KNOWING THE REASONS FOR MY AFFECTED RIGHT EAR WAS NOT MET WITH INSTEAD IT TOOK ANOTHER DIMENSION. Who has to be carefull the doctor or the patient? Chinchilla Weight Loss?

I have a 4 year old male chinchilla. For the past few days he's lost A LOT of weight and i can feel all his bones! He won't take any treats and I haven't seen him eat any of his food. His nails are sharper than usual and he's had a couple of whiskers fall out. He's acting lethargic and I checked his teeth for chips but they seem fine. The fur on his bottom is yellow and he's been acting terrified of me. He has no eye or nasal discharge. All he does is sit in his little house all day and night. He's also been rubbing his abdomen on the floor. But i'm mainly worried about his extreme weight loss and major lack of energy. And my parents won't let me take him to the vet because "it costs money". I don't know what to do!!!

9 weeks pregnant, how soon can Dr hear the heartbeat w/ a fetal doppler?

I saw the little heartbeat on an ultrasound at six weeks, and i went in today, but they couldn't hear anything w/ the doppler. (9 1/2 ) weeks. Eating disorder?

I was nearly bulimic a year ago, never actually got to the throwing up though. Anyway thought I had gotten over it but this last term of school has been so stressful, and I’m afraid I am starting to show symptoms of anorexia. I ALWAYS feel guilty after eating, I have tried to skip as many meals as possible, I feel huge even though I am perfectly normal, or so the scales say, and I feel as if I have to exercise all the time (even though I don’t). I have two boys 9 and 7 they are ALWAYS getting attention on their looks. They have a pretty rare set of features, carmel colored skin with forest green eyes. They both have matching curly mohawks also that may draw attention. Also, I'm white and my wife is black so that also might draw attention but it's just ridiculous lately. A normal walk in the mall and we will get stopped several times by people telling us how cute the boys are. Today we counted how many times strangers and family members brought up the boys looks. Hi yahoo community i have a 55 gallon freshwater planted tank. i was running 2 penguin 350 power filters on it. If you are answering this question you probebly know power filters are bad for planted tanks because they create to much surface aggitation. Plus there anoying if in your bedroom!!! Well i bought a Rena FilStar XP2 and compared to some reviews i read its very quiet almost silent infact. I cant here it at all when i close my stand doors! I guess my main question is if an xp2 is enough filtration for a 55 gall tank? Ive heard people saying in reviews that they have an xp2 on a 55 but the dont say how well it works in a 55. Im currently using the power jet nozzle and there is sufficent flow but im wondering once the filter matures will the flow still be enough? Does anyone have one that can tell me? I also have a small co2 injected powerhead in the tank its made by red sea. The 2 penguins were 350gph a piece and the rena xp2 is 300gph. Please i need personal experience!! THX!

In 7th grade my brother started dating this girl named Lexi. She had a brother named Aaron that i went to school with.
